Can You Ever Be Absolutely Positive?
That is the question young filmmaker Anthony Williams is posing to his audience in his new, entertaining, short film,
Absolutely Positive
. The screenplay was written and directed by Mr. Williams himself and produced by his very own production company,
Second Glance Productions
. The entire production was filmed right here in Raleigh, North Carolina.
This short film raises important questions that everyone can relate to, especially regarding our very own sex lives and the risks we might have taken in the heat of the moment. Let's just be real, if we're talking about sex, we have all taken risks for one reason or another. After taking those risks, it gets us thinking about what some of the consequences of those actions might be; relationship conflicts, intensity of emotional feelings, maybe pregnancy and even possibly contracting a Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) , like HIV . HIV is still a taboo subject for so many people and because of stigma many people still don't like discussing how HIV truly effects every single one of us and the communities we live in. Since HIV has no boundaries, prevention must start with YOU!
This dramatic short film follows four characters, all from different walks of life, as they get tested for HIV . It shows the events of why they decide to go get tested, the thoughts that run through their minds as they wait for their results, and how they decide to live their lives after they find out their results.
